This plumply hand faceted old Diamond has seen a life or two before, having been cut around the mid 19th century. Her current incarnation in this minimalist solitaire engagement ring is quite charming and its simplicity makes her the glittery focus of the whole design, set in a hand crafted square setting of Platinum upon an angular 18ct yellow Gold band. With a workshop stamp for '18CT' inside the band, it likely dates to the 1960's or so, a time before the compulsory hallmarking of gemset jewellery in the UK. The ring size, which can be adjusted currently measures an 'I and a half' or '4.5'. We judge the Diamond weight to be above 0.30ct.
